# Bulk Actions

Bulk Actions allow Control UI users to send commands and change configurations on one or more devices from the device list view.

> [!NOTE]
> Commands vs Configurations
>
> A **command** is a one time instruction sent to a device. If the device is offline at the time the command it sent, that instruction will never be received. Examples of commands include rebooting the device or updating its apps.
>
> A **configuration** is a device setting that can be set on online or offline devices. If a device is offline, it should receive the configuration and update after it comes back online. Examples of configurations include time zone and orientation.

To perform a Bulk Action on a device:

1. Check the box next to one or more device in the list view or click the box at the top left of the list to select all
2. Click the **Bulk Action** button
3. Choose **Send Command** or **Settings and Configurations**
4. Choose your desired Command or Configuration
