Filtering the Device List Using Labels
Labels allow you to filter the device list so you can find specific devices more easily. This is especially helpful if you have a large number of devices to manage. You can filter the list by more than one label and from more than one label category.
- In the Devices window, select Filters.
The Filter window opens. - Search for the labels you want in one of two ways:
- Type the name of the label you want in the Labels field and select the correct one when it appears in the results. The selected label appears under Currently Selected Labels.
- Select View All Labels, check the label(s) you want to filter the list by, and select Add.
You can add as many labels as you need to. The labels you select are then listed under Currently Selected Labels.
- Type the name of the label you want in the Labels field and select the correct one when it appears in the results. The selected label appears under Currently Selected Labels.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 as necessary. You can delete a label from the queue by selecting the X next to the filter name.
- When you have chosen the labels you want to use as filters, select Apply.Note: If you filter by labels from a single category, the list shows all devices that have been assigned at least one of the selected labels (for example, "Maple" OR "Birch"). If you filter by labels from multiple categories, the list only shows devices that have been assigned all the selected labels ("Maple" AND "Birch").
The filters you selected are displayed at the top of the Devices window. To remove a filter, select the X next to the one you want to delete. The device list adjusts accordingly. You can also remove all filters by selecting Filters > Reset > Apply.
