Creating a Datadog Dashboard Connection

When you're setting up your Datadog dashboard connections in Beam, you can choose a direct or single sign-on (SSO) connection method or you can create a web view and connect it to your Datadog dashboards.

Finding Your Datadog Dashboard URL

No matter how you connect your dashboard in Beam, you'll want to set your dashboard to TV mode so charts and graphs do not get cut off on your display. You'll also need to locate the dashboard's URL.

  1. Log in to Datadog and open the dashboard you want to display.
  2. Select the TV icon in the upper right corner of the window.

You should now be able to see all parts of your dashboard in one view.

The dashboard's URL now includes [tv_mode=true] (this usually appears in the middle of the URL).

  3. Copy the URL. This is what you will enter into Beam when you create your dashboard connection.
