However, YouTube content has some additional YouTube specific features. > [!NOTE] > Not seeing YouTube settings? > > YouTube content created as a [Web View](/v1/docs/creating-web-views-in-skykit-beam) will not show these features. Create your content as a [YouTube App](/v1/docs/creating-youtube-video-content-from-a-skykit-app) to use this functionality. To access settings, click the gear icon in the top right of your YouTube detail page: ![Settings and publish options displayed in a user interface for content management.](https://cdn.document360.io/86c4dfb2-4202-4f4a-97e1-d24441ae8c90/Images/Documentation/Screenshot 2026-09-02 at 12.15.56 PM.png) From here, you can: **Update Your URL:** Paste a YouTube video, Shorts, playlist, or short link into the URL field. > [!WARNING] > Tip > > Don’t worry about formatting your URL for autoplay, full screen; etc. Beam will do that for you! ![YouTube video link with a confirmation message indicating video detection.](https://cdn.document360.io/86c4dfb2-4202-4f4a-97e1-d24441ae8c90/Images/Documentation/Screenshot 2026-09-02 at 12.18.29 PM.png) **Update Playback Options:** Use the toggles to change settings for Loop video, hide related videos, and show closed captions when available. ![Playback options for video include looping, hiding related videos, and showing captions.](https://cdn.document360.io/86c4dfb2-4202-4f4a-97e1-d24441ae8c90/Images/Documentation/Screenshot 2026-09-02 at 12.20.17 PM.png) **Change Start and End Time:** Edit the start and end time if you only want to play part of the video. > [!WARNING] > Tip > > This setting is different from **Duration**, which sets how long the content will play on your Display if it is playing within a Playlist or Collection. Make sure the duration of your content is set for how long you want your YouTube video on the screen. Content played on its own and not within a Playlist or Collection will play indefinitely. ![Time input fields for setting start and end times in hours, minutes, and seconds.](https://cdn.document360.io/86c4dfb2-4202-4f4a-97e1-d24441ae8c90/Images/Documentation/Screenshot 2026-09-02 at 12.21.17 PM.png) **View Current Playback URL:** This read only field is dynamically updated when the settings above are changed. ![Current playback URL for a YouTube video with autoplay and loop settings.](https://cdn.document360.io/86c4dfb2-4202-4f4a-97e1-d24441ae8c90/Images/Documentation/Screenshot 2026-09-02 at 12.23.58 PM.png) ## Next Steps. Now that you've successfully created and managed your YouTube App, it's time to publish your content directly to your Displays or insert them into a Playlist or Collection. **Publish directly to a Display:** [Publishing Content to a Display](/v1/docs/publishing-content-to-a-display) **Insert into a Playlist:** [Playlists Overview](/v1/docs/what-is-a-playlist) **Insert into a Collection:** [Collections Overview](/v1/docs/how-to-set-up-collections-layouts)
