# Running a Task

## Running a Task

1. Select **Tasks** from the navigation bar to open the **Tasks** menu.
2. Click on the 3-dot action menu on the right side of each task
3. Action menu opens in a drop down with different options.

4. Select **Run Task** to run the task.

5. A confirmation prompt will appear to verify your task details, including the selected content, the chosen display(s), and the task type. Here we selected to run an Override Media Task on a display.

6. You are all done. Your task will be sent to your selected displays.

Note: When you run a Change Media task, Beam will finish playing any currently playing media before changing to your selected media. When you run an Override Media task, Beam will begin playing the selected override content immediately.
