Tasks in Skykit
Tasks allow you to immediately send commands to your displays. Currently, you can choose from two types of tasks: Change Media and Override Media.
Change Media allows you to permanently change to a new content item, program, or playlist on one or more of your displays. The new content you select will continue playing on your displays until you publish a different piece of content.
For example, with Change Media, you could change all of your devices at once to new content.

Override Media allows you to temporarily switch to a new content item, program, or playlist. You can specify how many times you want to repeat the media item or how long the override media should play before switching back to the original content.
For example, with Override Media, you could interrupt your currently playing content to display a tornado warning and then have your displays switch back to your original content automatically after two hours (assuming you didn't blow away in the tornado).

Running a Task
The Run Task command immediately sends your task to your selected displays. Tasks are run on demand and cannot be scheduled.
For example, if your task is designated to override media that's currently playing, the task will be sent to your displays instantly and your content will change immediately when you select Run Task.
