Article Summary

Overview

From the Displays menu, you can view a list of your available displays, edit their settings, and select the content they will play. You can also pair your display from this menu using the pairing code you see when you first turn on your player.

Displays menu

For each display listed, you see its status, serial number, and assigned location. This lets you see which displays are active and inactive so you can quickly diagnose any digital signage issues.

Display statuses:

  • Online: Your display is currently active and connected to Beam.
  • Last Seen: How long ago your device was last connected to Beam.
  • Unavailable: Your device cannot connect to Beam.
  • Never Reported: Your display has never connected to Beam.

Fallback Actions

Fallback actions allow you to choose what Beam does when there's no content selected or scheduled to play. You can choose from three fallback actions:

  • Allow display to sleep: If no content is playing, the display will go into sleep mode.
  • Play default media: If no content is playing, the display will begin playing your default media.

For information about how to set fallback actions, see Setting Up Fallback Actions.

See Displays Manager Overview to learn more about the Displays manager.

On-Screen Controls

On-screen controls give you the ability to control what's playing on your displays in real time. See On-Screen Controls to learn more.
