Definition

Collection

A container that holds one or more layout entries with play rules and scheduling capabilities.

Collection Entry

An individual layout within a collection. Each entry can have its own layout configuration, content, lead zone, and play rules.

Layout

The visual arrangement of content zones (single pane, two pane, etc.) within a collection entry.

Zone

An individual content area within a layout where you place content items, playlists, or programs.

Lead Zone

The designated zone within a layout entry that controls when the collection advances to the next entry. Only one zone per entry can be the lead zone.

Play Rules

Filters that determine when content is eligible to display based on date, time, recurrence patterns, or display labels.

RRules (Recurrence Rules)

Advanced scheduling patterns that allow for complex, repeating schedules (e.g., "every first Monday" or "weekdays only").
