Why am I seeing a 153 error on my YouTube video?

YouTube recently made a change to embedded videos, causing previously supported embedded YouTube Web Views to show the error below on Skykit devices.

The Skykit team is working on a long term solution. In the meantime, deleting the Web View cache on your Display can be used as a temporary workaround to get your YouTube video to play again.

To do this:

  1. Log into Beam

  2. Navigate to your Display

  3. Click the Configuration tab

  4. Click Clear Cache

NOTE: You may need to clear cache multiple times. The issue also could reoccur over time, requiring another cache clear.
