Bulk Actions

Prev Next

Bulk Actions allow Control UI users to send commands and change configurations on one or more devices from the device list view.

Commands vs Configurations

A command is a one time instruction sent to a device. If the device is offline at the time the command it sent, that instruction will never be received. Examples of commands include rebooting the device or updating its apps.

A configuration is a device setting that can be set on online or offline devices. If a device is offline, it should receive the configuration and update after it comes back online. Examples of configurations include time zone and orientation.

To perform a Bulk Action on a device:

  1. Check the box next to one or more device in the list view or click the box at the top left of the list to select all

  2. Click the Bulk Action button

  3. Choose Send Command or Settings and Configurations

  4. Choose your desired Command or Configuration
