Managing YouTube Video Content

Prev Next

For the most part, YouTube Video content can be managed like any other Web View.

However, YouTube content has some additional YouTube specific features.

Not seeing YouTube settings?

YouTube content created as a Web View will not show these features. Create your content as a YouTube App to use this functionality.

To access settings, click the gear icon in the top right of your YouTube detail page:

Settings and publish options displayed in a user interface for content management.

From here, you can:

Update Your URL: Paste a YouTube video, Shorts, playlist, or short link into the URL field.

Tip

Don’t worry about formatting your URL for autoplay, full screen; etc. Beam will do that for you!

Update Playback Options: Use the toggles to change settings for Loop video, hide related videos, and show closed captions when available.

Playback options for video include looping, hiding related videos, and showing captions.

Change Start and End Time: Edit the start and end time if you only want to play part of the video.

Tip

This setting is different from Duration, which sets how long the content will play on your Display if it is playing within a Playlist or Collection. Make sure the duration of your content is set for how long you want your YouTube video on the screen. Content played on its own and not within a Playlist or Collection will play indefinitely.
