Skykit Insights gives you real-time visibility into your display network, including a Proof-of-Play stream, and sends that data straight into your company's BI tools.

Availability: Insights is an add-on subscription and requires a Google Cloud account. Onboarding is hands-on while we work with early-access customers. To find out if you're eligible, contact your Skykit representative.

ECI pulls data from your enterprise platforms onto your displays automatically, so content stays current without manual updates.

New: Manage default content in Accounts

Who it's for: Account Owners and Tenant Administrators

Account Owners and Tenant Administrators can now set Default Content on their own in Accounts. Changes apply right away to newly paired screens and to devices moved into the tenant.

New: Video transcoding controls

Choose, video by video, whether to skip automatic compression. This helps when you need full source quality.

Recommended format: MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio.

Improved: Content Apps and App Management

Who it's for: All Beam users, including Base edition accounts

• Content Apps are now available on Base edition accounts, and some apps are turned on by default.
• App Management is now available to every user. Browse available apps, set up connections, and manage the integrations you already use, all from one page.
• App categories are easier to sort and filter.

Updated a PowerPoint in OneDrive? Click Sync from source to pull the latest version into Beam, with no need to upload it again.

New: Share folders across tenants

Who it's for: Account administrators managing multiple tenants

Share an entire folder with other tenants, not just individual files. Shared folders are easier to spot in the content list and picker, and the Shared from label shows which tenant shared them.

Notice: Media Player P3 lifecycle and upgrade offer

Announced: July 2026
Who it's for: Customers with Skykit Media Player P3 devices

We recommend replacing media players every 3 to 5 years, depending on the environment they run in. If you have P3 devices, now is a good time to plan your upgrade to the Skykit Media Player P7. A trade-in/upgrade offer is available for P3 customers.

Notice: Content Sharing tab now part of Enterprise

Who it's for: Accounts not on the Enterprise plan

The Content Sharing tab in Accounts is now shown for Enterprise accounts only. [CONFIRM: wording, and how existing non-Enterprise customers are affected]

Other improvements

Collections & Layouts (for accounts with Collections & Layouts enabled) · Classic & New Collections

• Copy collections: copy a collection from the list view, or copy individual entries. (July 22 and August 12)
• Name collection entries so they're easier to find. (August 12)
• Deleted content is flagged inside a layout zone, so nothing goes blank without warning. (July 22)

Skykit Beam

• Video details: Beam now shows video information, including audio details, and admins can export it. (September 28)
• Friendlier Live View errors: when Live View can't connect, you'll see a message with next steps. (July 22)
• Captions default to English when you first turn them on. (September 11)
• Better webpage URL checks: clearer errors for invalid webpage URLs. (September 11)

Skykit Accounts

• Confirmation when users are created: you'll now see a success message. (August 18)
• Disabled tenants are hidden when creating users, searching devices, and moving devices. (July 27–August 18)

Fixes

Skykit Beam

• Fixed play rules being dropped when several custom repeat rules were added, and an extra play rule appearing by default.
• Fixed play rules not applying to shared content in a playlist.
• Fixed the auto-publish toggle wrongly showing unpublished changes.
• Fixed being unable to add more messages to a ticker.
• Fixed OneDrive PowerPoint sync not updating content, and missing previews for OneDrive uploads.
• Fixed dashboards being slow to appear in the list.
• Fixed Content Apps opening to an empty list.
• Fixed YouTube thumbnails showing an error in Collections and Programs.
• Fixed the Proof of Play "More information" link.
• Fixed folder messages, including empty folders and an incorrect "being deleted" message.

Skykit Control

• Fixed links into Control sending you to the home page on first load.
• Fixed a missing logo for white-labeled accounts.

Skykit Accounts

• Fixed Sign in with Google failing when the pop-up was maximized or opened as a tab.
• Fixed the Restricted Installer role showing as "Basic."
• Fixed user list sorting.
• Fixed default content issues, including "Content Not Found," missing thumbnails, and the Save button staying disabled.
• Fixed the serial number missing from the device move pop-up.

Tip: Troubleshoot displays with Live View

If content looks cut off or sized wrong, use Live View to see what's on screen, then check the height and width settings on the device's Status tab.
